He was born in Ankara in 1961. He has taken painting lessons from two famous painters, Esref Uren and Osman Zeki Oral, when he was at high school. Afterwards, he graduated from the Painting segment of Gazi University. He worked as a graphic artist at International Exposition and Decoration Company (UFD) between 1983-1984. In 1985, he started working as a painter/illustrator at TRT. He made animations, paintings of stories and drew caricatures for the monthly TRT magazine. Between 1990 and 2000, he created stamps for the PTT Stamp Management. In 2004, he drew caricatures of 36 singers from different countries at the Eurovision Contest. Beginning from 2000, he stared painting at amusement parks. Most of his work were exported abroad. His works are exhibited in PTT Stamp Museum in Ankara.
Several pieces of Efkan were forwarded to the Presidental House of Türkmenistan.
Some of his works which created by him were sold abroad, Italy, Dubai, Iraq, Germany, France, Russia, Yugoslavia. He made live performances in Ordu, Samsun, Arsuz. He attended over 70 Group exhibitions. Now, he continues working at his workshop in Ankara. Efkan Beyaz, whose works are included in a lot of collection all around the world, is a member of the United Painters and Sculptors Association (BRHD).
